Extremely rare and totally amazing live photo book featuring lots of classic as well as several obscure '80s Japanese Punk/Hardcore bands. 2~4 pages by each band. Color and B&W photos taken circa '83/84. The front and back covers are The Stalin. Kuro(4p.), The Stalin(4p. + covers), Aburadako(4p.), Sodom(ADK-era!!!), Bloodberry(Tam's last band, ex-G-Zet/Bitousha/Rebel/Sekinintenka), The Star Club(5p.), Kyaah, Kenzi, The Willard, Zelda, P-Model, Malin Conia, The Continental Kids, Cock C'nel, Machizo Machida(Inu), Sadie Sads, Bunretsu etc. A lot of these photos have never been published elsewhere. Full-color covers and glossy pages. Also contains the fantastic 3-page ADK Records article/discography(incl. detailed pressing infos & release month/year) with Tam's comments, and some zine reviews. Probably the best thing about this book is that it has the ultra-rare(and awesome looking!) live photos of early Sodom from their early HC era, and ofcourse Bloodberry!!(Hiromi looks fucking hot!!) If you're a serious ADK fan/collector, you know these bands are the very important pieces in the Japanese HC/Punk history and how hard to even find their photos. These are some of the very few existing official photos by them. Killer large color live shots of Bloodberry's female singer Hiromi(ex-Rebel & Bitousha) and a few small shots of Tam, which must have been taken right before he disappeared(or died?). Never actually seen their photos or early Sodom photos elsewhere, and especially since Bloodberry got to play only a very few shows after changing the name from G-Zet, I doubt so many live photos of them even exist. This book was done by a small magazine publisher that mainly did the underground sub-culture and pornos back then(Oddly, there used to be some non-major porn mags in Japan covering the Punk/HC stuff).

Released on the legendary Osaka based label Skeleton Records that put out the Coward & Gasmask 7"s. Ultra-raw and primitive HC with that '80s violent Japcore feel. They were planned to be on the unreleased Skeleton Records comp 8"("Sieg Heil Skeleton") with Gasmask, Crime, and Woodpeckers. 4 tracks incl. "Fuck The Clumsy Metal", "Tears Of '56" etc. These guys must have really hated metal as the chorus part on the song "Fuck The..." goes like "Metal kids, fuck off!!". Rumors that this song is about Randy Uchida from G.I.S.M.

The front sleeve says "Not For Sale" on it. Self-released by the band's own label. Contains an unreleased song "Bad Night Merry X'mas" and an unlisted bonus track. Both tracks are exclusive to this flexi and have never been included on any of their other vinyls. Comes in a blue pocket sleeve with cool artwork & layouts. Only a few hundred copies pressed.

Very rare and sought after 1st EP on Boston Tea Party label from Denmark, known for their releases like "Noget Pa Dansk" and "Lorteland". Unplayed old stock copy!

Another unknown but killer mid '80s band from Kyushu. Not exactly in the "typical" noisecore style came out of that area, but still AWESOME noisy chaotic HC/Punk!!!! The first two songs sound kinda noisecore-ish and the last song is in The Swankys vein. Highly recommend for fans of early Swankys, Gai, Gess, Gedon, No Cut, Chaos CH, Dust Noise or early Disorder/Chaos UK. You know the drill. Very rare self-released flexi.
Note: The flexi has a visible 1.2" bent, but plays fine without any skips. Just some minor surface noise on the non-recorded part.

The singer Ryuji used to be in the legendary bands Disarray, Bitousha and also this great obscure band Mino 5 with Chelsea(Deathside/Paintbox) and Katsuta(Tetsu-Arrey). The other Dessert members were/are in Sekinin-Tenka, Bloodberry(ex-G-Zet), Idiot Idolaters, Laughin' Nose, The Pogo, Kenzi & The Trips etc. As you can imagine from their background, these guys sure know what they're doing and you know what to expect from Dessert. 120% Burning Spirits style traditional metallic Japcore ala Death Side, Judgement, Crude, Nightmare, Warhead, Forward etc. Awesome throaty vocals as well. They did a great Disarray cover on the other release. This 4-track EP is a totally heavy-hitting smasher. The vinyl looks amazing, too. It's on a clear vinyl with some clear pink parts mixed. Comes in a glossy perforation package/sleeve(opened). Where it's supposed to have a stamped serial number is left blank on this copy.

Featuring Sakevi's awesome and crazy looking political artwork, has their old contact address(c/o T.P.C. Records) and says "Beast Arts Propaganda" on it. The magazine contains the various Japanese & international punk/hardcore photos, articles, and rare old ads for AA Records, Dogma/City Rocker, ACC Video, The Zolge, Nira-Kodomo, Kyoaku-Kyojindan, Chu-Doku/Museum Records, Honey Deep Wet/Cage Records, 666 shop etc. The size is like MRR.

Ultra-obscure rarity here. The Ease was a female fronted punk band from Nagoya and the singer was doing this well-known The Stalin official zine called "Me-Her" that also covered the local legends like The Star Club, Oxy-Doll, The God, The Genbaku Onanies etc. I'd recommend this flexi for fans of the '80s Japanese dark psychic punk bands such as Kikeiji, Aburadako or Sekinintenka. Another unknown ADK style band which ended up putting out only one flexi and disappeared.

G-zet had the various singers including Achy from L.S.D. and Hiromi from Bitousha/Rebel(after changing the name to Bloodberry). All the three members do the vocals on this 12". Killer Mötorhead influenced, high-energy violent HC. Fucking brilliant.

Insanely rare and nearly impossible to find, cassette-only release. It's the original, the real deal. The sleeve spine says "History of GAI!". Came out around the time the "Very Best of Hero..." LP was released right after Gai changed back the name to The Swankys(Gai actually started as The Swankys in '81, then had to change the name to Gai in '83 due to being banned by the local clubs). Comes with a "Swankys History!" insert where Sieg-Heil is also mentioned. Not all the copies came with one. Compiles the 17 various studio demo tracks, plus 1 unlisted bonus(?) track which is supposed to be called "Yes! Future". Some of the songs are completely unreleased and can be only heard on this tape. Also, as far as I know, all the tracks are unreleased, exclusive version to this tape and wern't taken from the other demos or the flexi. The "Damaging Noise" demo(Violent Party No.1) is from '83, so I'm guessing that some of the tracks on this tape were recorded even earlier and possibly their oldest materials. Violent Party was Gai's own label that also put out their other demos, Sieg-Heil, No Cut, Gess demos, "Violent Party Omnibus" etc. It was also reffered to the group of a bunch of local punks around Gai organizing the gigs in Kyushu(Hakata area), among with SS Company and Kuro's KPP Records.

This one might be a little harder to find than their 2nd flexi and the split 8". Comes with a mailorder-only "Jisatsu Label Tsuushin(newsletter)" insert. Featuring Tatsu on guitars! One of the best Japanese Punk/HC guitarits who also played in Gastunk, Dead Cops, Nurse etc. Does anybody know that he actually played on all of the songs on the first Ghoul EP?(Although Max was credited as a guitarist...)

This LP was originally planned to be released as their 1st full length. However the band broke up before they finished recording the whole thing and it ended up being a compilation of the tracks from the split 8" with Nikudan('84, Jisatsu), "Sweet Emtion" 12"('85, Jisatsu) and the 4 new songs recorded just for this LP in '85. These 4 exclusive tracks are NOT included on the "1982-1986" discography LP/CD. Liner notes written by Narumi herself.

Note: Overall in pretty good condition, however the very top part of the sleeve shows several tiny & very light spots from age discoloration(but it doesn't look so bad). Otherwise in NM. The back side(blank) of the insert has many small spots and also the vinyl(1st track of Side B) has a scuff mark that doesn't affect playing.

Max from Ghoul is listed on the Special Thanks list. Gendou Missile used to play with both Japcore style and punk rock bands.

Only the limited quantity of the mailorder copies came with a bonus color sticker(band logo & mohawked skull) and those are very rare. Classic 2nd EP by this legendary band.

This is some really brutal shit. 6 tracks of fucking killer, grinding deathrash HC for fans of S.O.B., (late)Rose Rose, Inzest, Sore Throat, Napalm Death, or Carcass. Ultra-fast intense blast beats and awesome metallic guitar riffs/solos. Gibbed had some members of Unholy Grave. Their only release besides the tracks on the "Thrashing Deathpower" comp on Selfish. Released on S.O.B.'s old label called Sound Of Burial Records that also did the S.O.B./Napalm Death split and two other S.O.B. 7"s. Probably the last release of the label.

Ltd reissue of the 1st EP, originally released on Gudon's Kagai-Mousou Records in '89. Early line-up with a Nightmare member! They used to play shows often with the other Osaka bands like S.O.B., Nightmare, Outo, Rapes, and Danse Macabre. 6 tracks incl. "Kick & Blood", "Human Soup, Human Steak, Human Burger", "Go For Block" etc.

Fucking killer band!!! Pre-Apatia. Definitely one of my favorite '80s Polish HC records. Ultra-raw, noisy and brutal HC with intensely distorted guitar like early Brazilian or Finnish bands. This should appeal not only to Polish HC fans, but also to those who dig any Scandinavian, Italian, Brazilian and Japanese HC/Crust as well!! Man, this is seriously some powerful ripping shit!! Released on a Swiss label. Unplayed old stock copy of this rare obscure EP.

Top-notch dark metallic crust from Niigata. Great EP by this pre-AGE band. One of the eariest Japanese crust bands. Hakuchi also had a split LP with Disclose. This is the harder to find, early release by Overthrow Records.

Greeeeeaaaaaat!! Another fine obscure band from Sendai city, where a bunch of good '80s bands like Disarray, Sekinin Tenka, Rebel, Bitousha, Idiot Idolaters, Lance Lot, Dead Person were from. Rare release on Disarray's Chicken Shit Records. Speedy, tight and metallic Japcore with really awesome drivin' guitar that stands out. Good gruff vocals, ofcourse. Their songs also got some very catchy parts as well. Totally original style. Don't be fooled by the silly band name and title.

I bet nobody has ever even heard of them. I myself discovered this great unknown band very recently. According to the band biography printed inside the sleeve, these teenage punks from Izumo city, Shimane prefecture, decided to do the recording just a day after(!!) forming the band on Aug. 30th '88 and release this flexi the following month even before playing the first gig on Oct. 2nd '88. What you get here on this gem is the 100% pure, raw, fast-paced, powerful yet catchy-as-hell, hard drivin' '80s Japanese style punk rock. When you listen to these songs, you can kinda imagine how these young punks with full of energy just wanting to start out something "new" in the shitty country side where there wasn't a big scene, grab the instruments and start screaming the same day they thought of it. What I heard is that these guys were active locally and invited the bigger name bands from the major cities like Lip Cream, Death Side, Tetsu-Arrey, Gudon, S.O.B. to their small town to play the gigs there. I know nothing about the Izumo punk scene except there's one of those old MCR city comp's called "Izumo City HC". The first time I heard this flexi, I just fucking loved it. The silly ass drawings on the cover artwork and bonus sticker too. I was lucky enough to have my friend get in touch with a friend of an ex-band member's and obtained several remaining old stock copies that they tried to get rid of(Took me a while and lots of work during this process though). Once these are gone, they're gone for good.

Super-rare double vinyl issue!! Limited to 200 copies sold only through mailorder and at their gigs, just like the Tetsu-Arrey LP on the same label. The CD version was regularly sold at the shops. Even in Japan, not so many people know that the 12" version exists as it's rarely seen for sale. Beautifully packaged in a heavy, embossed gatefold sleeve with a metallic obi. "L.O.X." stands for Lip Cream, Orange, and X. The project band by Naoki(Lip Cream/The Comes), Act(Orange) and Yoshiki(X, the legendary metal band). Act also played a bass for S.K.V.(Sakevi solo project) in '95. Originally called Masami & L.O.X., with the ex-Ghoul singer on vocals. Their '88 live recording with him is included on the rare Masami 3CD & 7" box set on Sunshine Sherbet. He obviously hasn't done anything else with L.O.X. afterwards as he was in a coma since '89 til his death in '92. L.O.X. was such an unique project that featured several different Japcore singers doing vocals for them both live and studio. There's a kick-ass boot live video with Tokurow(Bastard/Judgement) singing for them exists(search "LOX Yoshiki" on Youtube). On this 7-track album, the each song has a different singer(except Toshi on the 2 songs). The main vocalists are Ishiya(Death Side), Butaman(Tetsu-Arrey), Toshi(X), Ranko(The Continental Kids), Koh Ito(Fools), and even Naoki sings on an entire song! Yes, Naoki from Lip Cream doing vocals & guitars. Mix of wide variety of music style from hardcore, punk, metal, thrash to rock'n'roll. It's the only ever release(besides that weird track on the Masami/Ghoul tribute CD) by them and is on a great label S.E.X./Sunshine Sherbet that also put out the Tetsu-Arrey 1st LP/CD, Masami solo LP, The Gaia 1st CD, Nickey & The Warriors 12", The Continental Kids LP's etc. Here's some more useless(?) infos for few obsessive collectors out there. This label was ran by the same dude from Ducasse Label(Kikeiji, Real EP's etc.) and Wechselbalg Records, who also runs I.D.N.(Inner Directs/I.D. Japan) which is a large distributor that has a HUGE tie to Sakevi, and exclusively distributes the G.I.S.M./Beast Arts releases. Laughin' Nose "When the Laughin' Nose Go Marchin' Inn!" 7" flexi - AA, 1985, Japan, Promo-only, (No Cat. #) - $28
One of the most well known crazy events ever occured in Japanese punk history: Laughin' Nose announced the "flexi giveaway" held near the Shinjuku train station and the 1200 punks showed up. To avoid the panic and troubles from the cops, the singer had to lead everybody to the Loft where they played 2 shows the same night and the flexi's were given away there instead. This incident later became the legend. What's offered here is one of those flexi's from that time. Has a great punk rock tune and a cool ass sleeve artwork, too. I can include a rare magazine photo scan from that whole Shinjuku punks panic incident(by request), plus a '87 color promo postcard as a bonus.

This is some really good straight-forward fast Japcore that reminds me a lot of the late '80s Selfish Records stuff especially those fast, in-your-face HC bands like Systematic Death, Outo, Lip Cream, Mad Conflux, Crück etc. Short, fast and furious!! Well worth checking it out. Their only release besides a few tracks on the great late '80s comp tape "Suck My Dick!" with Crow, SDS, Acid, Cruck, Asbestos etc. Another awesome obscure band that almost nobody knows about. Here's a review taken from an old MRR : LOVEZHE - "Crazy" flexi. A two-song, one-sided red flexi that's got thrash with. hooks played with abandon . Fun, though not really. "crazy."
