The vocal style reminds me of Chitose from The Comes. Rare obscure release on Line Records that also did the Rose Rose 1st flexi, P.C.G. 2nd flexi etc.

Limited release on Specialized Fact, the label ran by some of ex-Outo and S.O.B. members. Comes with a very nicely made, 10" x 10" size glossy booklet with tons of rare old photos, biography and gig flyers by a great Japcore artist Tom. Also a killer sleeve artwork done by him as well. An almost-complete discography of one of the most important bands in the Japanese HC history, contains their '84~88 materials incl. all the 3 EP's, 6 tracks off the "Shoujikimono..." LP, tracks off the "Hardcore Unlawful Assembly", "Thrash Til Death" and "My Meat's Your Poison" comp LP's. Released also on the CD format, but this vinyl edition was limited and sold out fast. Long out of print and hard to find.

Glossy, full-page color and b&w photos of G.I.S.M., Lip Cream, Cobra, Auto-Mod, The Willard, Chaos UK, Wretched, Disorder etc. The G.I.S.M. part(2 pages) has the killer live pics of Sakevi. The photos, interviews and articles of Gauze, Hanatarash, The Willard, Chaos UK, AA Rec., U.K. HC scene etc. The ads for Ghoul EP/Hold Up/Noise Room, KPP, AA Records, Last Bomb, and tons more cool stuff in this issue. There's even a two full-page odd artwork by Sakevi. Most of the texts are in Japanese, but well worth it for all those nice photos, artworks, rare ads and such. Fucking amazing underground punk mag.

Special Sakevi issue. The main concept of this issue is "Death". This ultra-rare, awesome mag was edited and published by Sakevi from G.I.S.M.(Co-edited by John Duncan!!). Lots of insane pics, artworks, interviews and articles about topics like war, death, execution, politics etc. Written in both Japanese and English. Not all of them, but most of the main, interesting contents were translated into English. Glossy, full-page color and b&w photos of Hanatarash, Hijokaidan, Psychic TV etc. Very rare full-page ad for the G.I.S.M. video release with a large live pic of Sakevi, Lip Cream ad, C.O.P. LP/T.P.C. Records ad, Hold Up Records ad, full-page Selfish Records ad etc. Sakevi himself interviewed the following people: John Duncan, Hanatarash, Medical examiners from Tokyo Medical Examiner's Office(Yes, the autopsy/death stuff here. There's actually a pic of Sakevi with the two examiners taken during the interview.), Mental hospital inpatient(No bullshit. Remember, it was done back in '85 and was in Japan...) etc. John also did a few other interviews. Some of the other interesting stuff to read are the How To Kill article and the personal short letter sent to Sakevi by the political prisoner/anarcist members of East Asia Anti-Japanese Armed Front. Very professionally done underground mag with glossy covers. Absolutely amazing contents.

This one is a bit harder to find than most of the other Poison/Poison Arts releases, and the songs on this EP kick ass! Amazing guitar work by Chelsea(Deathside/Paintbox). 4 tracks including their early classics like "Over Head", "Fighting Soldier" etc. The second release by Extasy Records which was a label ran by Yoshiki from X Japan long before they got huge. The first Extasy release was the X "Orgasm" EP, in case any of you care...

This is the original pressing on Michiro's B.Q. label. The '86 reissue on J.A.P./Japan Records is the remix version with extra guitars, bass and keyboard added by Bill Laswell, Sonny Sharrock etc. This B.Q. original recording and the remix version sound very different. The "Fish Inn" remix LP is the very first Japanese record Bill Laswell has ever produced. He's an well-known producer who has also worked with Motorhead, Ramones, Iggy Pop, P.I.L., Bob Marley, Mick Jaguar, Yoko Ono, Ryuichi Sakamoto etc. I personally enjoy listening to both versions, however most of the Japanese fans say that the additional instruments and over-remix work ruined the original sound. Also, the B.Q. issue has a completely different sleeve artwork than the reissue. Only the ltd mailorder copies came with the flexi and that one is a bit harder to come by.

Mega-rare infamous zine published by The Stalin singer Michiro Endo and his Political Project(Records). Complete with the "Dendou Kokeshi/Tempura Rock" flexi!!! The flexi has a picture sleeve insert. This is "The Stalin Special" issue w/ photos, centerfold poster, interview, "Vietnam Legend" full-page ad, MRR reprint etc. Very rare to find The Stalin photo(centerfold poster) with their early '84 line-up incl. Michiro, Jun Bleed(The Willard), Teruya Ogata and Jun Inui. Perhaps this is the only one ever appeared in the zines. A4 large size, thick pages.
Star Club, The "Anoko ni hitomebore" 7" flexi - Club The Star, 1984, Japan, Gig freebie, (The Star Club No.7/CSR 005) - $40
Mega-rare gig freebie-only flexi! One of the hardest to find and most sought-after S.C. releases of all. Contains a killer, fast and hard drivin' punk title track tune which was actually the very first song that was ever written by them right after the band was formed, however has never been officially recorded until 1984(Except the live version of this song appeared on the "Go To Hell" acetate 7" that they've pressed less than 5 copies in 1977.) Although this studio track isn't available on any of their other records, it's one of the most well known and loved S.C. tunes to their older fans. The flexi was given away free to fans only at one show at Loft in 1984(Says "Not For Sale" printed on it.) Some online resources say that it was the first flexi to be given away through their "Cosa Nostra" fan club(existed '85~'90), but that's wrong.

Produced by Atsushi Kaneko from The Stalin. Self-released 1st flexi. I thought their 2nd EP "Warning For The World Punks" is very good but this flexi is even much better. Like an old zine review says, I can definitely hear The Stalin influence and the song "Heroes(Your Dirty Face)" sounds like one of the songs on The Stalin's "Stop Jap" LP!! Really good stuff. Very mid '80s Japanese punk sounding release.

The same band that's on the "Smashing Oddsness" comp LP with Bastard, Asbestos, DonDon etc. The Hawkwind influenced, ultra-obscure Japanese psychedelic band featuring the ex and future members of Rocky & The Sweden, Systematic Death, Idora, Headless etc. Sweats used to play traditional fast Japcore in the late '80s. This is actually a very rare and hard to find LP.

Original Captain Records pressing. This is the pic. 12" issue of their '85 gig freebie flexi, with an extra track added. Also, two of the songs(3 Years & D-Day or Lost Day) on this 12" originally appeared on the rare "L.C.D.D."(La Caduta Degli Dei) 1st flexi from '83. Totally killer fast and hard-hitting punk tunes. The 1st flexi was produced by Michiro(The Stalin) and came with his infamous "Ing,o!" zine. The Willard was formed in '82 and broke up once in '83, then the singer Jun joined The Stalin as a guitarist and the drummer played in The Execute, until they were reformed in '84. There's The Stalin interview in "Ing,o!" Vol.4 with Jun as their real member.
