JULY 9TH 2009 (PART 3 : SPLIT & V/A)

+++ SPLIT +++

Ashes / Crowd "Hostility" 7" EP - Overthrow, 1991, Japan, (Overthrow-02) - $25
Early release by Overthrow Rec. Both are unknown but pretty good Japcore bands from Nagoya city. The Crowd side especially stands out here. Totally blazing metallic Japcore that reminds me of Burning Spirits style with a slight crust touch.

Baseball Furies / The Mamat's - 7" flexi - Bema Kikaku, 1988, Japan, Poster sleeve, (No Cat. #) - $75
B. Furies are pre-Gruesome and also had an ex-Bad Vultures member. Mega-rare split. Mint copy like new!

Breaking Power The Prisoner / Dororo - 7" flexi - Self, 1985, Japan, (E-8076) - $30
Completely unknown split release by these super-obscure bands from Osaka. Dororo might be a bit more known to a very few obsessive collectors, because they were included on the "Last Punk Osaka" comp LP(Very rare, by the way...) with early S.O.B., Outo, Brutas(Naoto's band before S.O.B.), Dither(Pre-Rapes) etc. Their guitarist went onto form Danse Macabre with ex-Zouo singer Cherry. This is their only ever release beside the comp tracks. B.P. The Prisoner did the self-released 8" flexi on or around the same year. On this split, they play some cool dark and metallic ADK-ish punk.

Coward / Gasmask - LP - Crust War, 2002, Japan, Insert, New/Unplayed, (Crust War-017) - $45

Crude / Violence Moment "Blood Sucking Freaks IV" 7" EP - Blood Sucker, 1996, Japan, (BSR-019) - $35

Disclose / Hellkrusher "Why Must We Die?"(Blood Sucking Freaks III) 7" EP - Blood Sucker, 1994, Japan/UK, Mailorder-only ltd clear red vinyl, (BSR-013) - $30

Disfuse / Power Of Idea - 7" EP - Japankore, 1995, US/Japan, 300 pressed, Clear red vinyl, Insert, (JKDR-002) - $25
Dropdead members' project band Vs. Japanese political crust. Confuse rip-off sleeve artwork and logo. Includes a Crow cover by Disfuse and a Dropdead cover by P.O.I.

Edge-Ucate / Deliver Me - 7" EP - Disgruntled, 199?, US, Ltd ver. of 100 w/ handmade die-cut sleeve & numbered inner sleeve(# 1), Insert, (DR 008) - $7
Edge-Ucate = ex-Charles Bronson. Released on the Bronson member's old label Disgruntled Rec.

Evance / Jabara - 12" - HG Fact, 2000, Japan, Insert & label flyer, Artwork by Tom, (HG-116) - $28
Top-notch traditional Japcore split. Evance totally kicks ass!! If you like those "Burning Spirits" style bands like Crude, Judgement, Death Side or Bastard, then these two bands are something you don't wanna miss out. This ltd vinyl issue is long out of print.

Gudon / Warhead Junk "Blood Sucking Freaks" - Blood Sucker, 1990, Japan, (BSR-004) - $40
Warhead Junk is also a great Japcore band with two ex-Gudon members and a member from Insane Youth/Forward. Awesome split EP. Early Bloodsucker release. According to the label site, it was released in '90 and not '91.

Neuroottiset Pelimannit / Tartunta - 7" - SHJ, 2002, Finland, 300 pressed, New/Unplayed, (SHJ 015) - $20

New Roteeka / Loo's Halloween - 7" flexi - AA, 1986, Japan, New/Unplayed, (AA-PR-002) - $20
Offering it for cheap since I have several copies. Rare promo-only freebie flexi. Perhaps the most obscure AA Records release ever. Both bands play fast, catchy and totally '80s Japanese style punk! Great split.

S.O.B. / Outo - Split 7" EP - Coretic, 1989(?), Japan, 1st press of 200 on black vinyl w/ pink sleeve & sliver labels, Hand-numbered label, (Coretic-01) - $38
This is the "original" 1st pressing from the late '80s(or '90?), on black vinyl with a pink-ish sleeve. Also the center labels are metallic silver. Only 200 of these "real" ones were made back then. These are rarely seen for sale nowadays. More recent reissues were pressed on various colors of vinyl with a black & white slick sleeve and the white center labels. Who knows how many copies of those recent ones were really pressed(definiately way more than 200, although almost everywhere online states so).

Sarcasm / Sanctus Iuda - 7" EP - Scream, 1995, UK/Poland, (SR-005) - $5

Swat / Sawaki Kazumi "Marudo" 7" flexi - Hinokyu Ongaku Shuppan, 1983, Japan, Clear red flexi, New/Unplayed, (Honshitsu-hakkutsu 002) - $15
Offering it for cheap since I have several copies. Swat is kinda like The Stalin or Typhus style fast punk, with female vocals. One of their songs sounds a bit ADK-ish. Two tracks by Swat, with titles like "Death Boy" and "Roudousha-kaikyu"(The Proletariat). Sawaki Kazumi is from the old band called Hinokyu(or Hinomiya?), who had the 7" out on City Rocker in '84. It's his project band playing some weird ass punk on this split.

1997 / Damn The Control - 7" EP - Vomiting Label, 1997, Int'l, 500 pressed, Poster sleeve(sticker tear on back), New/Unplayed, (Vomiting Label 011) - $15
Chaos CH(Jap.) / Disclose(Jap.) / Besthöben(Bra.) / Blaze(Jap.) / Totuus(Fin.) / Conclude(Jap.) / Kirous(Fin.) / Guernica y Luno(Pol.) / Laben(Ger.)

A Farewell To Arms - LP - Nuclear Blast, 1986/88, Japan, (NB 009) - $28
Gauze / The Execute / Lip Cream / Ghoul / Gastunk / Outo - Originally released on Selfish Records in '86. Classic Japcore comp.

Attack - 7" EP - Jungle Hop, 1987, Japan, Yellow sleeve w/ band logos(1st press?), (JHI 105) - $28
So What / Deadless Muss / Detroit / Fuck Geez - Compiled by Roger Armstrong(SiC/Dead Cops). 2 tracks by each, except 1 track by Fuck Geez.

Battle Of The Worst Bands - 12" - Non Commercial, 2006, US, Ltd mailorder ver. of 175(out of 475 total), Coke bottle clear vinyl, 2 x insert, New/Unplayed, (NON-06) - $15
Cider / The Darvocets / The Ruiners / Brainwashed Youth

Bondage Maniac Vol.3 - Tape - Bondage Maniac/Slaver Office, 1992, Japan, Stamped fold-out sleeve - $20
Condemned / Despair / The Slang / Blind Justice / Nouka-Suitai / Back Rush / Warsaw / MxDxS / The Brownue / Headcase / Hot Milk - Rare tracks by Condemned, an early Osaka crust with Jacky from Famtid/Crust War. Despair and Condemned are also on the "Final Noise Attack" comp.

Don't Enforce Your Values On Me!(MCR Comp Flexi Vol.3) - 7" flexi - MCR, 1988, Japan/Germany, 1000 pressed, (MCR-014) - $10
SiC / Fuck Geez / Spermbirds / Pestilence - 2 bands each from Japan and Germany. Early MCR comp.

Fledgeling Punx(Nouzui Omnibus Vol.1) - 7" EP - Nouzui, 1987, Japan, Poster sleeve, New/Unplayed, (NR-001E) - $30
Gagize / Re Zist / Sword / Weedy Eggs - Awesome obscure Japcore comp by the DonDon singer's old label. Re Zist and Gagize are known for their great flexi's on Half Alive Records. Sword and Gagize are also on the "Shodoku Gig" LP on Selfish. The front sleeve photo has a crowd of punks from some show and there's young Ishiya from Death Side smiling in the middle. I got my own copy in '88 and just recognized his face in the photo after 20 years.

Go Ahead Make My Day(Smashing Oddsness 2) - LP - Oddsness, 1989, Japan, Fold-out insert, (OD-002) - $75
Bastard / Asbestos / Don Don / SiC / Complete / Sweats / Sicilian Blood / F.V.K. / Idora - All the bands' recordings are exclusive to this rare comp. The Bastard material is not even included in the official discography CD. Different version of "Wind Of Pain"!! The Sicilian Blood songs are very good on this comp., with that Gauze sounding, in-your-face Japcore style. Oddsness label was made only to release the "Smashing Oddsness" 8" EP(Deathside, Crück etc.) and this LP. Sweats featured the ex and later members of Rocky & The Sweden, Headless, Systematic Death, Idora etc.

Japanese Movement Volume One - 12" - Human/JM Recordings, 1988, Stamped & numbered sleeve(# 0377), (MA-101) - (Trade or Offer)
Bad Vultures / Cracker Jacks / Bull The Dougs / Humpty Dumpty

Meaningful Consolidation - 2 x 7" EP - Blurred/D.I.Y./Icons Of Crust/Forest/Yasuo, 1994, Japan, Glossy booklet sleeve, (Blurred-05/D.I.Y.-EP-005/Icon-R-02/Shinrin-01/Battle Striker-02) - $30
Disclose / S.D.S. / Abraham Cross / C.F.D.L. / Defiance / Anti Authorize / Iconoclast - It's like the '90s Japanese crust all-stars comp. Split release by the 5 different labels. Defiance was an early Osaka crust band with Jhonio & Habi from Gloom and ex-Asphyxia guitarist.

No Way I'm In Panic - 7" EP - Mangrove, 1998, Japan, (ROOT-012) - $5
Assfort / Flux Cored Wire / Freaks - F.C.W. also had the EP's out on MCR and Dicipline label. Quite unknown band but pretty tough sounding, straight-forward traditional Japcore but with noisy distorted guitars. Freaks plays some kick-ass, fast and noisy thrash HC and their track is called "Faster". The Assfort tracks is a crazy re-mixed version of their old tune "Ejaculation".

Osaka Battle Royal - LP - O.B.R., 1990, Japan, 1000 pressed, Complete w/ Insert, Sticker & Release show flyer, (KSK-1010) - $70
Gruesome / Bugs Bunny / Dorochys / White Ropes / Ghapps / Cyclamens - Contains the very first Gruesome material!! White Ropes members went on to play in City Indian and Sonic Omen. Bugs Bunny is pre-Straight Force For Men.

Tokyo Crusties Comp E.P. - 7" EP - D.I.Y., 1994, Japan, 6-page booklet sleeve, (D.I.Y.-EP-001) - $38
Abraham Cross / Collapse Society / Battle Of Disarm / Crocodile Skink - Killer compilation with some of the best '90s Japanese crust bands. Awesome noise crust & fucked up EngRish lyrics at it's best. Very first D.I.Y. Records release. Hard to find.

Tour De Farce - 7" EP - Empty, 1986, Int'l, 2 x insert, (MT-017) - $45
Guerrilla Urbana(a.k.a. Ataque Frontal/Peru) / Guerrilla Urbana(Spain) / No Lip(Japan) / Doc Wör Mirran(Germany) / Büld(Denmark) / Armatrak(New Zealand) - Extremely rare and obscure(not even listed on KFTH) mid '80s compilation featuring Ataque Frontal when they were still called Guerrilla Urbana before they've changed their name in order to avoid hassle from the authorities. This is the only release by them under the name of Guerrilla Urbana, besides the '85 demo which ended up being a split tape with H.H.H. from Spain. Also on this great comp are some good bands like Guerrilla Urbana from Spain and No Lip from Japan, which had Roger Armstrong from SiC, Dead Cops etc.

Virus(Byougentai) - LP - Jungle Hop, 1987, Japan, Insert, (EX-/VG), (JH 108) - $35
Lip Cream / Systematic Death / Mad Conflux / Don Don / SiC / FVK

Voice - LP - Japan Recs./Tokuma, 1987, Japan, Insert, Obi, (25JAL-3086) - $15
The Stalin / Aburadako / The Star Club / Laughin' Nose / Inu / Allergy / Lizard / Boøwy / Zelda / Accidents / E.D.P.S.(post-Friction)
